World Athletics Championships 2025: In the World Championships final 2025 being held in Tokoyo, Neeraj Chopra disappointed as his best throw on the night was 84.03m. Meanwhile, Sachin Yadav missed the medal and finished at the fourth spot in the final. Sachin's best throw was 86.27m. In the finals, Keshorn Walcott, Anderson Peters and Curtis Thompson emerged as the winners.
Neeraj Chopra had a disappointing outing, as he failed to get past the 85m mark in the men's javelin throw. Meanwhile, Sachin Yadav got the fourth position with a personal best of 86.27m.
Notably, Pakistan's Arshad Nadeem, the reigning Olympic champion, finished at the 10th spot. Trinidad and Tobago's Keshorn Walcott were the winners by grabbing the the gold medal.
Neeraj Chopra, the Indian javelin throw star, who was fighting hard to defend his his World Championships title in Tokyo, Japan, in the finals on Thursday, was knocked out of the final match and disappointed his fans nationwide.
It is worthy to be mentioned here that the final competition was an intense one between Neeraj Chopra and Pakistani star Arshad Nadeem. Notably, Arshad won the gold medal at the Paris 2024 Olympics, surpassing Chopra.
Neeraj and Arshad have not faced each other since then, due to the tension between the two nations after the unprovoked attack on India by Pakistan.
It is to be noted that Chopra was playing hard to make his mark to defend his title. Notably, the title was owned earlier by Czech coach Jan Zelenzy and Anderson Peters of Grenada.
